Obituary for Brenda Thompson
Brenda Joyce (Peaks) Thompson of Laurel, MD, peacefully departed this life on Saturday, September 30th, 2023, in Laurel, MD.
Born on July 25th, 1942, in Ingram Branch, West Virginia to the late Henry Lee and Odessa (Putman) Peaks.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Raymond Thompson and son Raymond Thompson Jr., two brothers Harold Peaks and Leslie Lynn Peaks.
Brenda is survived by two children, a son Anthony Peaks of Irvine, CA, a daughter Yolonda (Nikki) Thompson of Laurel, MD, and two grandsons, Myles, and Bryce Teagle, who were the light of her life! Four crazy and ever-loving sisters, Kate (James) Epps of Suffern, NY, GeorgeAnn Peaks of Nyack, NY, Shirlene Peaks of Valley Cottage, NY, and Darlene Parnell-Covin of Jacksonville, FL. A beloved sister-in-law Audrey Thompson of East Orange, NJ, two stepchildren Denise Bowie of Patterson, NJ, and Weldon (Dianne) Phelps of Jackson, TN. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family all who loved her dearly and will miss her deeply.
