It allows family and friends a place to re-visit, interact with each other, share and enhance this tribute for future generations. Condolence: Ruth and I communicated for many years about planning issues in Orangetown. In my role as a former land use board member we regularly saw each other for decades. Ruth had strong opinions that showed a reverence for the environment and proper planning.

We had many conversations both public and in private, about these issues. She was always willing to take a stand and fearlessly present her views. Patriotism and community values are many times best expressed in action on a local level, and this is clearly demonstrated in Ruth's life. Ruth made a difference by taking a stand when most people would sit down. We are all lessened by her passing.

I will miss her insights, persistence, sage advice, and most of all, her support and friendship.
